If you keep walking down the Main Pedestrian Street eventually you'll come to the Central Post Office. This massive multi-functional building consists of a post office, several stores, and even some old stamp collections can be seen exhibited. Telephone booths are also available for national and international calls.

The space in front of the Central Post office is a very popular meeting spot for the citizens of Plovdiv. On the other side of the building, you will find the Roman Odeon which was the commercial, administrative and religious centre of the ancient city of Philippopolis in the 2nd century AD. Meetings, debates, festivals, government affairs use to take place there on an area of 20 acres.
